Apparently I am more interested in the science than the art, but I'll let you decide.
I come from a film background. I first held a camera at about age four or five (in the seventies), and have been filling albums with photos since 1979 – some polaroids, but mainly 110 format negatives. I held my first SLR in about 1983 or 1984, a big heavy Nikkormat EL with the 50mm f/1.4 on it and got my own (Konica Autoreflex T3 with a 50mm f/1.8) in 1988. Learned the basics of darkroom work (B/W) in 1986 and developed & printed my own B/W through to 1991. I inherited the Nikkormat EL in 1991 and bought my first other lens for it in 1997 or 1998. GAS kicked in gently and now I have four or five Nikkormat EL bodies and seven or eight Nikkor primes, and two Konica bodies with three lenses. I dropped film for a “bridge” camera in the winter of 2007/2008, coming late to digital. I got the D3100 in 2011 (mainly because it could couple with all my lenses, especially the pre-AI).
I shoot buildings and landscape, macro, caves, astro and stuff in museums and avoid shooting people as much as possible (unless it’s my kids).
Currently I am uploading stuff from a variety of sources: Film that has been scanned at the lab from 2004-2007, stuff from my Canon G9 currently at December 2008 moving forward, stuff from my D3100 sporadically as I shoot and systematically from Jan 2012 forward. Future projects include scanning negatives from the period 1980-1986 (110 format), scanning negatives from the period 1986-2004, and finally scanning the family collections including slides and negatives.
That’s about it.
Oh - and yes, I have not disabled comments on my shots on purpose and yes, I do want critique.
