Former gearhead now gone lo-tech. Still amused by little things.
When I was 8, my parents gave me a little 110 Instamatic camera which I used to take really dull pictures, and I finally figured out why: I was more enchanted with the act of capturing a moment than I was with what, specifically, got captured. I once used up an entire film cartridge shooting nearly-identical Ontario lakes out of a moving car. I think I really just liked pressing the button.
