A result of his lifelong interest in the arts, Michael Kahn’s photography career began when his father, also a photographer, bought Michael his first camera for his thirteenth birthday.

Raised in Toronto, where he was educated in the creative and performing arts, Michael’s frequent and extensive travels throughout Europe and South America inspired a desire to capture his adventures on film, along the way creating a narrative that is both highly personal and aesthetically accessible.

Michael’s photography captures a diverse array of subject matter including portraiture, lifestyle, urban, wildlife and landscape photography. Currently a city dweller, he approaches city life and fashion with the same enthusiasm he has for depicting the natural world. He frequents cities, forests and nature preserves across the globe, capturing images of natural and un-natural beauty (and the occasional beast).

Michael’s passion lies in pursuing the encapsulation of life’s fleeting and rarely seen moments sharing glimpses into a world that might otherwise have remained unseen.
