My early interest was in railways - BR steam in fact. I travelled the country looking for steam locos but too young to be interested in photography at the time. When the family moved to a house in South Harrow, it happened to be under the flight path to RAF Northolt and my lifelong passion in aviation began. I would cycle there most evenings after school and then ventured further afield to places like Heathrow and Elstree airports. Photography eventually followed; to this day aircraft and railways are still prime subjects but I will point my Nikon cameras at almost anything that interests me, especially landscapes. I am a member of a local camera club and enter regular competitions, having won on occasion.

Now entirely on digital photography, I do also have some 50,000 original colour slides taken up to the time of my transition to digital in 2008. Some have been scanned and I may add some to this flickr site eventually, which I have only just resurrected in September 2023.
