I am born & brought up in Calcutta now known as Kolkata, the city of Joy. For the last few years I am settled in Chennai (old name Madras). By profession I am an Accountant, and was employed in a famous tyre manufacturing Company in India.

 

My hobbies are Gardening, keeping fishes in aquariums, photography, reading books etc. One of my favourite book is The Tao of Physics by Fritzof Capra. I also travel a lot.

 

I am also a regular contributor to Getty Images .

My son Chitabhanu, 22 years old (in 2014, now 28 years in March 2020), is also into photography and many of the photos uploaded here, have been snapped by him.

All the photos, the file names of which have started with R, have been snapped by my son Chitrabhanu. He started snapping digital photography at the age of 16, and now at the age of 21, he is a highly matured photographer. In fact, many of his photos snapped, are also in Flickr Explore. His photo has been awarded # 1 in Flickr Explore (the photo was snapped by him when he was only 19 years old).

 

However since he is still young and is employed in software industry, his involvements are also into many other activities, and he is not always serious about snapping photography alone.

Some photos in this photostream, have been snapped by my wife and the file names of these start with P. But she is not really serious about snapping photographs and she has her own different Agenda. However, she is also very matured in snapping photos and loves wildlife & jungle safari and photography. In fact, some of her photos are also in Flickr Explore with very high ranks.
