I grew up in a small village in Somerset, studied History of Art and Architecture at Reading, and now live in Bristol. When I was five years old, my mother gave me my first tool kit. I built a hen house out of scraps of timber when I was nine or ten, by the time I was twelve I was helping renovate a cottage - I think I always knew I would have a practical vocation.
