Joshua Michael Shelton became fascinated with beauty, diversity and photography while working as a project manager for an electronics factory in Dong Guan, China. Fluent in Mandarin, he traveled between Hong Kong and Mainland China for several years. Seeing the bold Eastern ways of life give rise to Western influence and culture inspired him. He began to capture moments and express a unique interpretation of a diverse and wonderful world.

Upon leaving work at the factory in China, Joshua moved to Los Angeles, California. He immediately began playing in a band and working on set with many big name photographers, directors and talent. Self taught, he spent years collaborating on set with top professionals and learning the unique set of skills necessary to become such an accomplished photographer.

While working at quite a few studios, he found an opportunity to join a Corporate sponsored International Art Collective. This gave him the ability to focus full-time on his craft as a photographer and travel the world. After years of work in the creative collective and corporate environment Joshua found it time to open his own studio and pursue his individual vision.

Joshua Michael Studios is located near the vibrant LA Live area of downtown Los Angeles. He enjoys shooting portraits, commercial advertising, lifestyle, fashion, architecture and fine art.
