I was born in England in 1956. My Mother was the supervisor of the ladies department at the Marks & Spencers department store in Birmingham so you could say that I grew up surrounded by their St.Michael brand of lingerie. From a very early age I can remember helping to tidy stock on Sundays ready for the store to open on Monday morning and being paid to count panties, slips, nighties, etc. during stocktaking every month end. I grew to appreciate the high quality of their products together with the sheer quantity of their styles.
