I've been into photography since about 6 or seven when I started playing around with a Kodak 126 instamatic. My brother and i would jump off chairs etc to capture an AIR moment. Played around with Polaroids and the like. I had a nasty Vivitar 110 at one time, the negative was so small the quality was bad. At least it was not as bad as a Kodak Disk camera, remember them?

My first 35mm slr was a Zenith something or other, with a 50mm f2 lens. I actually got some very good results from it. After that I dreamed for a Minolta Dynax SLR because they had lots of fancy buttons & flashing lights.

I did not get a Minolta, instead I pushed the boat out to a Nikon F-801, my first proper SLR. I only had a 50mm 1.8 lens to play with at first but made the mistake of buying a Centon 70-210mm (horrid) and a Sirius 28mm wide angle (nasty).

Other cameras I have owned since are a Nikon F4s & F3. A Nikon AE-1 Nikon D1 & D2x. A Contax T3. A Leica M6 rangefinder with 3 lenses.

My main gear currently consists of a Nikon D3 & D7000. A 70-200mm f/2.8 VR, 18-200mm VR, 50mm f/1.4, Nikkor 20mm f/2.8, Nikon 10.5mm fisheye & 60mm micro. Nikon SB800 DX speedlight.

I also have a Canon G12 & Lumix TZ-10 as compacts

I have delved quite a lot into the world of astrophotography in the last year or so. Quite a lot of my recent images are space related.
