I'm a semi-retired graphic designer and former art teacher. I've been happily married for nearly 40 years and we've raised three daughters.

Because of a lingering illness--a disability, really--I don't get out as much as I would like, but I do manage to get out and about. When I do, I'm finding I enjoy taking pictures. Flickr has rekindled my interest in the field because it has given me an outlet for my photos—somewhere to show them and for like-minded people to see them.

I am awed by the beauty of nature. As a Christian for many years, I find myself giving credit to God for his glorious creation. Jesus really is real to me and to my wife; that's one reason we're still married. It's also the reason I find hope and strength in the midst of disability and frustration.

I hope you enjoy my photos. I have a bunch from my college days which were all 35 mm slides but are now transferred to digital. I like to see the dazzling work on the daily Explore page. I hope to make it there someday myself. Blessings.
