I got interested in wildlife photography after hearing a Gonolek call in my neighbourhood. I had heard the call before but had no idea what the bird looked like. In a bid to identify it I wanted to first see it but it was very elusive as the call echoes around the place making it hard to pin point the exact location of the bird, in addition to that the bird deliberately hid in the hedges. I eventually saw it and then the question of how to get a decent photo of the bird set me on the wildlife photography journey. Which camera, which lens, how do I use it..... many questions but its been and continues to be a fun journey!
