I am a grandmother of 6, three of which are triplets. My husband is a retired railroader. We live here in a small town in the Midwest with our little dog. I have been doing some form of art my whole life. I also spent several years in the antique business. I gravitate to the less normal and more quirky types of things. My art is more mixed media. Fine art is way to formal for me. I take a canvas or whatever I am painting on and layer it with whatever I can find. Mostly paper, sometimes fabric, and gobs of other stuff adhered to the canvas, is the way I begin most of my art work. Then, I cover, layer, cover and layer and sand and scrape and sooner or later I come up with something that resembles what I have in my head. I have no formal training in art or anything else so get by with doing it my way, Zoggie style. Who is to say that my paintings don't look like a dog or whatever. They do in my mind.
