Since a little by with 10 years of age, I had started to listen up when I heard a helicopter flying over our house in former West Berlin close to the East German border. I am a cold war child, and some how miss it. This is probably why my interest is big into military rotary aviation. Since 1985 I have started to draw helicopters as a side view, showing there full colours. This I did of each colour picture that I had at the time ending up with more than 16.000 drawing in the end.

Over the years they had improved of course, and some I was able to sale. As of that time no one had a database, which would show me the history and were a bout’s a specific helicopter is. I started to think my self of what is possible to work. So I had started with MS Dos, can’t remember the old computer anymore. It was just in 2003 that I had a notebook to work with. Now I am able to spend more time on programming ideas and so on. As my work is nothing without the support of others, I have been able to get in contact with lots of interesting people that are like me, with a big non-commercial interest into helicopter aviation history and photography to show on one site.

Today, over 700 helicopter enthusiasts help me to bring in some colours with their photographs for the more than 107.000 different helicopters online at www.htdi-int.com. I hope to present with the help of all, a online platform were every supporter has access for forwarding and me adding there helicopter pictures and information’s to look at. Off cores with copyright shown with their name. So now, I want to keep feeding the database. The rest programming will follow later as I still have lots of my own pictures in store.

So I like to invite all helicopter enthusiasts for sending me there pictures and news to my HTDI Email address. In exchange you have access to the database. Copyright will always be given to its photographer and your name will always be shown as a watermark.

I look forward to be in touch with you.

Hereby a big thanks to all of you so far. My work would be nothing without your help and spending time to keep me informed and updated.
