Since retiring in 2006 my favourite hobby has become photography, in particular capturing the wildlife around me, whether it be big or small. I also have a voluntary job one day per week with Wildlife Queensland in their office in Brisbane.

I have carer duties now so don't get away often, and have become totally absorbed in the wonderful, constantly amazing micro world in our garden. My greatest interest is Australian native bees.

I am constantly learning from others on Flickr - about photography and the natural world.
