The natural world is a gift that keeps giving, wildlife photography provides a distraction and release from the difficulties life can present.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my photostream. I have always had a keen interest in the natural environment. Digital photography has enabled me to capture some of those magical encounters which I share on my flickr site. I also have a Facebook site where I post wildlife images; www.facebook.com/tony.cox.1466. I always appreciate comments and will always visit / comment on the flickr sites of those who make the effort to comment on my site. I aways shoot in raw and do not change any images apart from minor changes using the in-house Apple software. Most of these images are taken from the wild within the UK unless i have indicated otherwise.

In Spring and Autumn I guide birders / photographers around some spectacular areas within the Alentejo, Portugal. My photostream also contains wildlife photography taken on my travels in Portugal. My photography, particularly my macro butterfly images, have been used and published widely including the British Butterfly Conservation Society, Wildlife Trusts and the BBC. I do not charge wildlife organisations / charities for the use of my photography providing they are not used for profit.
