DAVIDE SCALENGHE
Drag to set position!
Davide Scalenghe is a producer, reporter and director.
A veteran of television and a multi-national, multi-lingual journalist who can find the story anywhere in the world (form India to South America, from North Africa to Europe) and then send the story home, Davide has produced media packages under the most trying conditions.
Having become a popular and engaging presence with his hard-hitting TV documentary series “Vanguard”, for Al Gore’s Current TV, Davide has created everything from long-form documentaries for the Discovery Networks to short, more economical pieces for internet news sites such as Vocativ.com, specializing in reporting on human rights, poverty, political extremisms, international human trafficking, LGBT rights issues, criminal gangs, prisons and child prostitution, among scores of other stories.
Graduated with full honours from the London College of Communication in Media and Cultural studies, his professional credits range from news and information to reality television, and include a long list of global networks, such as CNN, MTV, NBC, BSkyB, Sony Pictures Television, Discovery, and Current TV.
His most recent independent project, a documentary on crack addiction and child prostitution produced in Brazil with the help of the NGO Casa do Menor, had its cinema premier in Milan in November 2013, and aired shortly after on Discovery, Italy.
Davide is currently working on his next social affairs project for the Discovery Networks.
