I take photographs as a hobby. Many of my older photographs I have posted here are just as they were taken, without adjustment other than reducing the resolution for on-screen display by "Flickr Upload". The new uploader can handle higher resolutions so I hope to replace some of the older ones with higher resolution versions. I don't seem to have as much time as I would like to do further processing, although I am now a fan of Lightroom and shoot raw. I like to research my subjects to describe exactly what was being photographed and where. I like to record places I have visited; landscapes, buildings and wildlife. Much of the UK wildlife lives in or near my garden at home but I make regular trips abroad, most frequently to South Africa.
