I started off in the darkroom of Surfing Magazine long before we knew anything about pixels and Photoshop. All my cloths had fix stains and I lived it a room whose only light was amber. My first break shooting break was working for V.J. Lovero of Sprorts Illustrated covering the L.A. Rams in Anaheim. From there I was able to move into a variety of underground surfing publications (code for low-paying!) and newspapers. Over the years I've had to reinvent myself to stay connect to photography; to switch from Velvia to a Photoshop action. I now shoot weddings, portraits, almost anything that I can fit around my "real" job. I cover football for La Serna High School (Whittier); freelance fot the Whittier Daily News; shoot the occasional wedding and portrait.
Photography is the food of my creative passion and ego. It's that thing that can still make me laugh and make me cry; I love it because you can create it, capture it; learn from, do it, re-do it and do it all again tomorrow!
