"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place ..." (Elliott Erwitt)
Since retiring as a philosophy teacher, I have taken up again my interest in photography which I first developed as a teenager. What I photograph tends to be mostly things that do not move around much. If I have a philosophy of photography, it is best expressed in Henri Cartier-Bresson's words, the enjoyment of capturing "a geometry awakened by what's offered", i.e., curves, lines, angles, form.
Having over the years used equipment by Olympus, Nikon, Canon, Sony and Fuji, I am now a devoted Leica fan, though I still make use of my Fuji X-T2 and various prime lenses.
