Early 2010 “Handsome Poets” from Gouda, formed and recorded their first single “Blinded”. The single is instantaneously picked up by National radio 3FM, and in a dazzling few weeks the band find themselves winning the “Serious Talent Award” at National Radio station 3FM. Quite a startling achievement for an unsigned band.

With their second single “Dance (The War Is Over)” the band receive an invitation from highly acclaimed Dutch TV program “De Wereld Draait Door” and with a staggering 1,3 million viewers, doors quickly open for them. They share the stage with numerous famous bands. The single reach the top 10 and is used for popular TV program: “So you think you can dance” as leader.

With the release of their debut album “Handsome Poets” the band definitely lands. It brings them numerous festival requests in the first year of their existence. Handsome Poets, later joined with guitar player Eelke Mastebroek, is stoked on writing new material and soon their 3rd single “Sky On Fire” is a fact. The moment it hits the radio, the band gets a request from Dutch National TV to use the track as anthem for their Olympic Sport program. It propelled the track to a number one position in the Dutch iTunes charts.

Handsome Poets second album “Sky On Fire” sees the light on Dec.1st Shooting to a chart position in Italie, license deals in Poland and Germany. With all these achievements behind their belts already, who can predict where it ends?
