A selection of bus photos I've taken over the years. The more recent photos are mostly taken with a D-SLR, along with some iPhone photos. Some of the older photos are scanned from prints (mid 90s), then I switched to slides between 1997-2004. Born and raised in Sunderland, a lot of my photos are of buses that operated in the north east. In 2000, I got my PCV licence, and since then I've moved around the country a fair bit. My photos reflect this nomadic existence. I've now settled on the south coast (Fareham to be precise), but still pay regular visits to the north east.
Once I gained my PCV licence, I did fewer days out with the camera, but usually had it with me at work. I have tried to capture vehicles I've driven in unusual locations. As mentioned above, I've moved around, and worked for a few operators over the years. From leaving the north east to go to University in Birmingham, to starting a career with Stagecoach, and finally ending up as a train driver. Below is a summary of who I've worked for. It's not a comprehensive list. There have been others, often for a day or two. My work at the bigger companies has involved multiple depots - it becomes a long list! I currently work part time for Stagecoach in Portsmouth.

Every so often, I spend an evening with the scanner, often picking out random photos that capture my interest. Hopefully they will be of interest to other people as well!
I'm stubbornly refusing to upgrade to Flickr Pro, so my photos from the bus preservation world have been removed and added to another site. Once I reach the free limit, I might upgrade, equally I might not.
Following the discovery of some of my photos being sold for profit, complete with my 'discreet' watermark, I have deleted all my photos except for those with a more obvious watermark banner and prominent logo. To those of you who feel this spoils the appearance of the photos, I apologise, however I did come very close to permanently deleting the whole lot. If you would like a non-watermarked copy of one of my photos, please inbox me.
