I am an architecture graduate living in the midlands with my partner and our puppy. I am an admirer of design, in its many forms, but particularly anything with a fabriccy goodness and I am a qualified expert in procrastination! My to- do list is permanently getting bigger by the day, but I am working my way through it one stitch at a time.

After a full year in the Brit Bee, I think I am slowly graduating from complete newbie as I have a wide range of experience, but I am not a master of anything specific. I love to try new things and generally like to push myself into figuring out something completely new.

I am not a master of precision or accuracy, I am an experimenter at heart and I worry that my might not match up to others' expectations or be able to 'play with the big kids' but I always do my best and aim to please.

Generally I am open minded, I like a mixture of modern/traditional clean modern quilts with vibrant colours and distinctive blocks, eclectic modern art designs and detailed piecing. Maps and cityscapes have been a passion of mine for a long time and as a rule I pretty much love anything geometric or architectural.

I am not a fan of purple (it was my school uniform colour and 10 years on I still hate it!) and I generally stay away from baby pinks, but everything has it's place and I would never completely dismiss a single colour from a rainbow.
