I'm an architectural illustrator from Yorkshire based now in York, and recently retired from Historic England (formerly English Heritage). I have lived in Kent, in Winchester, where I worked as an archaeological illustrator, in London and studied in Newport, Gwent.

Until 2016 I drew historic buildings for a living, mostly as illustrations, combining technical style drawings with traditional media like pencils and watercolour, mainly in the UK plus a wonderful commission that took me to historic Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. I still occasionally do commissions.

I am a fellow of the Society of Architectural Illustrators (SAI) and through the SAI website forum became aware of Flickr and Urban Sketchers. I have always used sketchbooks to gather information for use in my work and done drawings for the joy of it. Now I can share my work with a wider audience while learning from a huge number of enthusiastic co-artists.
