Keen amateur snapper since given a Kodak Instamatic as a child. Currently using Canon EOS 7D Mk 2. Not sure better equipment guarantees better results! Capturing a good pic is as much about being in the right place at the right time than anything else.

I am constantly caught out by how photos can affect my mood.

My interests largely dictate my subject matter. As you will see, I am a keen motorsport fan, also aviation, plus I have a great affection for France. I am not a great fan of posed shots, perhaps because I'm never happy with my own efforts!

Born (1955) and bred in beautiful Northern Ireland (Tyrone), have lived since 1972 variously in London, Aylesbury and Gloucestershire, where we currently live.

Have been in Accountancy since 1974. Have spent the last 14 years running my own transport business. Sadly the recession has put paid to that, so currently resting!

The last 5 years have been totally dominated by a spate of grandchildren arriving. They are all beautiful and have clearly inherited all their good qualities from my wonderful wife Anna, and all their bad qualities from me!

Update 1. April 2011

I have dusted off my old Nikon SLR, last used about 15 years ago, and have put a B & W film in it. Looking forward to getting an even older Olympus OM10 fired up too. Ultimate project though, is to get a old Rollei 35 (Circa 1966) working.

Working again. Gone from having way too much time for my hobby, to very little time! Not posting nearly as much as I would like, but hey ho, got to keep the bank happy :-(
