My name is Erik. I've been capturing frames of the world around me for a long as I can remember. In 2005 I began sharing them here. This photostream is the closest thing I had to a journal for many years and I've kept almost all of the early images published and public because its nice to see how far I've come over the years.

In late 2008 I was bitten by the rock photography bug. I'm not sure when it started, honestly. It could've been the VHS or Beta gig with Maps of Norway opening - one of the first shows I had seen in years - or it could've been the hours spent in a cold Northeast Minneapolis basement hanging with musical friends. From 2008 until the mid-2010s I did freelance photography, primarily music and event photography, for a bunch of publications. My most frequent clients at the time were the now-defunct Minneapolis alt-weekly City Pages and its "rival", the also defunct Vita.mn and its not-defunct parent company, Star Tribune.

Unfortunately, most of the work I made during those years isn't accessible online anymore, given that my main clients are both out of print and their websites lost to the mists of time. As time goes by I'm hoping to start regularly publishing photos from the hundreds (and hundreds) of shows and events I documented over those very busy years of full-time freelancing. Watch this space.

These days (as of late 2022) my main interests lie in electronic engineering, hardware hacking, 3D modeling and 3D printing, and other related pursuits. I'll be using Flickr as a proper "long-tail" photo publishing/storage system for photos of my projects, interesting teardowns/repairs, and anything else that may have value to someone in the future.
