My scratchboard art work is featured in a prominent gallery in Melbourne Australia and I have won several art awards. My paintings have been sold around the world to collectors

Basically, the technique is as follows. I use a masonite board that is covered with a thin layer of white kaolin clay. It is then sprayed several times with black india ink. I use various instruments, knives blades, scalpels etc to scratch the black off to reveal the white. I usually colour the eyes of the animals I do to. They do tell the story.

Most of my work is animal work. Like so many other artists, I am amazed and delighted and what mother nature has put on this earth in the form of animals and insects. I feel honoured to be able to draw them in the way that I do. I'm very passionate about each peace that I complete. I just have a wish that somehow man and beast will learn to live happily together and share this beautiful planet equally.

I am a useless photographer as you can see by my uploads. I have a Pentax Optio 7 camera so it's not the greatest machine in the world.

So if I do approach you to use one of your photos, you will be referenced whenever i get the chance to. And please, if you have no intention of allowing me to do so, please let me know, so that i can move on to a more generous photographer who doesn't mind sharing with another artist. I do consider photography to be a great art.

Thanks for your time. Please visit my f/b page. = Lesley
