Make no mistake, art always has a point of view. You may totally agree with that point of view or maybe not, you may be provoked into laughter or bewilderment, disdain, or awe. But, this is what good art does, it gets a reaction out of you. Art has a sense of humor, it is irreverent, it is meant to make you think, ponder, or question. I discovered Russ's work last year and found it thought provoking, expressive, intense, comical, intriguing and brilliant! Art has always been my first love and I found Russ's work to be amazing! I have laughed, shaken my head, and been shocked! This is perfect, for this is what keeps me coming back to pour over his work! Do yourself a favor, start at the beginning, you wouldn't want to miss any of it! Oh, and be sure sure not to miss "Smoked Fish" and "Can't Work, Am Dummy", these are 2 of my favorites!
