Cake decorating started out as a hobby for me, something I did in my spare time. Now it is somewhat of an obsession. What can I say...I LOVE cake!!! I constantly try to improve my work and would consider myself somewhat of a perfectionist. I am completely self taught and have been decorating for approximately 14 years. For the first 12 years I only made "tres leches" cakes that were frosted with Cool Whip. I have only been working with buttercream and fondant for a couple of years. Thanks to all my fellow cakers out there for sharing your cakes with me, and to those of you who have shared decorating tips. It is because of you that I continue to improve my skills. My hope is that I, too, can inspire someone who is just starting out decorating and can share a few things I have learned along the way.
