Foxhound is the endeavor of Jared Polowick and W. Shane Duquette, and is proudly based in Toronto, Ontario. Our work is all about communicating strong ideas through beautiful and captivating imagery that remains relevant to the message. Whether it’s design, illustration, photography, motion, or making coffee – we do it right.

Passionate, stubborn, and full of style – both Shane and Jared attended the York / Sheridan program in design. Although we weren't friends for a couple of years, both of us knew of the other as ‘that other kid who was tall and thin, had longer hair, and wore ripped skinny jeans’. It was obvious we should have known each other as we were wearing the same band tee’s to school, but it wasn’t until a mutual friend proposed we find a house for next term and fill it with the best eight designers from our year that we were properly introduced. For better or worse, the designer superhouse idea fell through but we still became roommates and moved into a three-bedroom basement apartment with a friend. It was that eight-month period, in that seven-and-a-half foot tall box we called our home, that we realized we had more than just our looks in common and the idea of starting a firm was incubated.

In our last year of schooling we matured, stepped up our style (from matching band tees to matching oxfords), and upgraded to an above-ground apartment. It was there that we realized we wanted to take charge and move forward with our own business. With an obsession to create truly original solutions that work for our clients, Foxhound was born.
