Il Festival Internazionale del Mare, nato nel 1999 propone un'immersione totale intorno al tema. Il festival ospita ogni anno prestigiose produzioni audiovisive, nazionali e internazionali, documentari subacquei e reportage fotografici sottomarini.

Nella sua storia, il Festival è stato partecipato da più di 5000 concorrenti, film e video maker e fotografi, che hanno condiviso con i direttori artistici del Festival, Pippo Cappellano e Marina Cappabianca (CAPMARSTUDIOS) la passione per il mare, le sue profondità e la vita che esso ospita e ci regala.

Pippo Cappellano e Marina Cappabianca sono autori di documentari naturalistici, scientifici e storici realizzati in ogni angolo del pianeta, spesso in ambienti estremi. Molti dei loro lavori sono dedicati al mondo marino: dalla cultura e la storia del mare, alla ricerca e all’esplorazione in alta profondità.

La partecipazione al Concorso è gratuita e aperta a tutti, ogni concorrente; presentare una o più realizzazioni.

PELAGOS, in association with the World Festival of Underwater Picture of Antibes Juan-les-Pins, announces the International Sea Festival which represents a journey into the sea through numerous series of videos, photographs dedicated to the marine world.

This vast archive of audiovisual productions are intended to enhance public awareness around the sea and its health; among those numerous works emerge the outstanding documentary The Cove, winner of the 2010 Academy Award for Best Documentary.

Throughout its history, the Festival was attended by more than 5000 competitors, film and video makers and photographers, who shared with the artistic directors of the Festival, Pippo Cappellano e Marina Cappabianca (CAPMARSTUDIOS) the same passion for the sea, for its depth and for the life it hosts.
