Ever since I was a child I've been fascinated by photography. As a child I often wished that I could capture some of those wonderful and unique images that I was picturing in my mind's eye.

My first camera was a Canon EOS 100, a 35mm autofocus SLR which I bought in 1992. I'd decided then that I wanted to take up photography seriously. However, for various reasons, it turned out that the heart was willling but the flesh was weak and my dream of taking amazing pictures remained unfulfilled.

Now, many years later, (and after recently spending many hours browsing through Flickr), I'm getting the urge - once again - to go out there and start capturing those amazing pictures that have been eluding me for so long.
