The Nashville Municipal Auditorium was designed and built in 1962 to satisfy Middle Tennessee's need for a multi-purpose facility that could handle a diversity of events with equal ease. For more than four decades it has done just that, hosting everything from concerts to circuses, auto shows to evangelical crusades, and trade shows to touring extravaganzas.
The Auditorium has two levels available for rental, which can be rented seperately
The Arena Floor
For family events such as concerts and ice shows, the Nashville Municipal Auditorium offers a well-equipped arena with total reserved seating for 9,432.
The arena floor can also serve as an ice rink suitable for hocker, skating competitions, and shows. A full-sized Championship basketball court can be set for high school, college, or professional games.
Exhibition Floor
The 63,000 sq. ft. exhibition floor has an average ceiling height of 11ft. 6in. and an unlimited floor load. Exhibit space is serviced by 110 and 220 volt current.
The exhibition floor can comfortably hold 175 8' x 10' exhibit booths or 150 10' x 10' booths. Dining capacity for the exhibit hall is 2,500 with people seated banquest style.
Outdoor Plaza
A 3,800 sq. ft. plaza adjacent to the Auditorium can be rented for events. The area is 240' x 160' and may be used independently of the building.
