LATEST UPDATE.

21/07/2011 - Watched 'Jamie Drag Queen at 16' last night on BBC3 - I didn't like her at first but she grew on me. It was a great programme and she's got legs to die for! You go girl!

I don't think I'm going to tell you anything different from a lot of t-girls - I started early. I can remember wearing my aunties high heels when I was about 7 (and liking it), raiding my mum’s wardrobe when I was 11 (and getting caught – doh! – schoolgirl error!), and lying through my teeth at the age of 17 to get into a dressing service – to be fair, I wish I hadn’t bothered – I don't know how much skill is needed to make a 17 year old to look like an old granny – but they managed it!!!!!!! The knickers were so big, I could have camped out in them and you know you’re in the wrong dressing service when the highest heel they've got in the whole place is 2” !!!!!!!!!!!!

About Me – I’m Welsh and proud! - However, as the Way Out Club and all the other t-girl clubs aren’t in Wales, I had to move to London! Mohammed, Mountains etc.

I'm 39 years old - so I'm old enough to know better but still young enough to do it anyway! I’m quite playful in nature, and I try not to take myself too seriously. I think that I‘ve got a good sense of humour, but then again, I kid myself that I’m a size 8 as well - so I could be wide of the mark here!!!! I try to be as convincing and fem as possible, but that’s sometimes tricky when you fell out of the ugly t-girl tree and hit every branch on the way down!

What I’m Looking For – I’m here to make friends with people. I do get out and about and it might be nice to meet up later for wild, vodka fuelled, nights out. If you don't drink vodka, then that's not a problem - I'll happily mix with gin and bacardi drinkers! I’m not looking to meet with anyone for anything sexual – please see Slushy Bit below.

What I like :-)

♥ I try to keep myself smooth – I use razors and immac on my upper half, and nitromors and a blowtorch for my legs!

♥ Perfumes – Current faves are Chanel No. 5, Very Irresistible, Belle De Nuit and Lola by Marc Jacobs.

♥ Shopping – You can find me in New Look, River Island, Monsoon, TX Maxx (if I’m in a patient mood) and Sephora (if I'm flush) or Superdrug (when I'm not). If I'm looking for something really special - I head for Dover Street - John Rocha is GOD when it comes to evening dresses!

♥ Make up – I’m into dark red and purple lipsticks at the moment, with matching nails. I love glittery eyeliners and I’m a big fan of Rimmel.

♥ Heels – Whooo Hooooo! – my favourite thing in the world! I tend to go for 6” metal heels, but I will settle for 4” if they’re sexy - however - and I'm very picky on this - you will never catch me in a pair of heels with black soles! They've either got to be yellow, pink or red - but deffo not black! It’s my ambition in life to have a collection of shoes which would make Imelda Marcos drool!

♥ Cocktails – Particularly pink ones. Failing that, Smirnoff ices or breezers. Failing that, I’ll drink anything (except Baileys - see dislikes) – I’m an expert at pissin’ it up and partying!

♥ Tolerance to others – We’re all different and none of us should judge each other as long as we’re not hurting anyone.

♥ Poached eggs with fresh rocket on toast.

♥ Music – I listen to anything, from light rock to commercial dance music. I do have a penchant for Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Pixie Lott and every t-girls favourite Lady GaGa – current fave on my ipod is Raise Your Glass by Pink (what a t-girl tune!) and my all time fave tune (which is guaranteed to get me on the dancefloor) is Raindrops by Sash and Stunt.

♥ Dangly jewellry - Love charm bracelets and I've got a thing for large hoop ear-rings.

♥ Walking barefoot on a sandy beach - Number one, I like the feel of warm sand between my toes and number two - it's the best exfoliator ever!!!!

♥ Films and Movies. Best girly film: Breakfast at Tiffanys. Best T-girl film: Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Best other films: Gothika and 12 Angry Men. To me, James Bond will always be Roger Moore and all the Carry On films make me laugh.

♥ Anything pink.

♥ Anything sparkly.

♥ My beloved Newcastle United.

What I dislike :-(

X Rudeness and arrogance.

X Ignorance.

X Bad manners – please and thank-you’s are free after all.

X Two faced people.

X Chihuaua’s in handbags – What’s that about??? I love girlie stuff, but I can’t see the point in walking around with a long haired rat in my handbag – anyway, there wouldn’t be enough room in there for it, as mine’s always full of lipsticks, perfumes, compact mirror (essential t-girl accessory), half eaten kebabs and a bottle of Smirnoff.

X Celery.

X Baileys - It may be a girlie drink, but I got drunk on it when I was 18 years old and was violently ill afterwards - even now, the smell of it still makes me a bit queasy!

X Big Brother.

X Brussels sprouts - The only thing I don't look forward to at Christmas.

X I'm not keen on the word 'transvestite' - it seems old fashioned and dated nowadays - I prefer t-girl.

WARNING – SLUSHY BIT COMING UP!!!!

I’m married to the most amazing woman ever. We’ve been married for 12 wonderful years, and not only is she my wife, she’s my best friend, soulmate and I love her to bits. She stole my heart years ago, and since then has added make up, jewellry, tights and handbags to the stolen list!!! (Can I have my Rimmel colour palette back now please???)

So that we all know exactly where we stand - I want to clarify I'm blissfully married and I don't cheat, so please don't ask!

OK, so if you're still reading by this point, I hope that I've made you smile a bit with what goes on in Roxi's World. On a serious note, I have an enormous amount of respect for anyone who lives their life the way they want to live it and not the way society expects them to. It is one of my hopes that one day a PR machine will emerge from the TG world who will fight for us the way the gay community fought back at society all those years ago in order to gain understanding and acceptance. In my eyes, the debate is quite simple - Society believes that testosterone is king. Any move from a female to adopt a more masculine stance is perfectly accepted - tomboys have been around for years and decades ago Enid Blyton wrote the Famous 5 series of books who featured a girl called Georgina, who, more than anything else in the world, wanted to be a little boy called George and she was admired for it. However, any move by a male to a adopt a more feminine stance is open to ridicule, derision and disgust by bigoted, ignorant and narrow minded members of society - I think it's time for change.

'Tolerance and celebration of individual differences is the fire that fuels lasting love.' - Tom Hannah.

Lots of Love, Hugs and Kisses,

I've been in touch with Roxi almost daily for the past 3 months or so. She only lives round the corner as well. She’s truly a FAB and wonderful person and so is her partner Juliette. I love them both. Very genuine, kind and amazing people! It’s a real pleasure to know them both. xxxx
