Many of you know me from my journalism career -- reporting, editing, producing, or writing columns and editorials. My work has been published with several notable organizations, including CAMERA, KCET, the Middle East Forum, the Orange County Register, and the Scientific American.
My day job takes me to sunny Orange County, California -- where I serve as the assistant deputy editor for the OC Register's Commentary pages. That means actively working to solicit, edit, and design our pages to bring together our excellent product. As is typical of Millenials, I freelance quite a bit. One of my current freelance roles -- and perhaps the most rewarding -- is an adjunct professor role at a community college where I teach journalism.
I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with distinguished honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English. I earned my Master's degree in Journalism from USC's Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism.
My interests include art, crafting, fashion, history, writing, embroidery, photography, economics, and international relations. I'm a lover of music -- my iPod playlists include artists that span Mozart to Madonna. I love my old movies. "Laura," "Rebecca," and "Cool Hand Luke" are favorites that come to mind immediately. And I couldn't survive without my "I Love Lucy" DVDs. Or my well-worn copies of "Sense and Sensibility" and "Pride and Prejudice."
