I love the photo sharing on Flickr! It is one of those things that would not be possible without the internet, and definitely one of my favorite.

The travel possible here on Flickr could be to a distant place in the world, another way of life, a completely different state of mind; and there is a great deal of art & imagination mixed in!

There is something incredibly special in the idea that another human held a camera and captured the image that you are viewing. What is that person like? What life opportunity lead to this photograph? What constraints were they under? And this image is already part of the past, not to be seen exactly the same way again - ever.
