I am a retired fisherman happily married with one son who is living in Austria. I worked as a locomotive fireman with BR until I was made redundant in 1969. I was a lorry driver and had a few other jobs between. I went digital in June 2005 so all of the aircraft photos on here taken before that date are scanned from slides.
I took a few general photos on a Kodak digital camera from 2002.
I got my first camera in 1958 it cost my mother 7 shillings & 6 pence. In today's money 37 new pence. In 1968 I got my first SLR a Practika Nova 1 a fully manual camera with no built in meter. In the Early 70s I got a Pentax SP. 1000. Around 1980 I got a Nikon FA followed by an F2A & an F3HP both with motor drives which I still have. I used both of these until 2005 when I went digital. As my old Nikon lenses were well worn I changed again, this time to Canon with an EOS 20D then a full frame 5D Mk.II. I presently use a 5D Mk.III and a Mk.IV. I use a variety of lenses from wide angle to 600mm.
