Beth, a Third Coast Quilter
Drag to set position!
I’ve been sewing since I was a girl, made my first quilt in the late 1970s and have been passionately quilting since the late 1980s.
I am mostly self-taught and have tried many of the trends. Over the years, my quilting style has simplified -- I like using basic shapes that show off the fabric. There is so much that can be done with simple squares & rectangles & triangles. I love pattern, color, fabric; I think about them all of the time. I don’t follow fabric designers or lines and I don’t have a favorite color. This can be a problem -- my fabric purchases are diverse and unconstrained!
For many years, a large part of my life was dealing -- long-distance -- with the disappearance of my Mom into Alzheimer’s dementia. She's gone now, died peacefully in her sleep. Quilting and quilting friends have helped & continue to help keep me sane and grounded.
