I started taking photos when I was about 7 or 8 - my mom had a cool Nikon film camera. Started developing and printing when I was 10...I still remember the flow of the darkroom and I miss it sometimes when I am processing my photos now with a simple flick of the delete button on my camera or my computer.

Went to college to study documentary film and photo, got shut out of the photo classes my first semester (overenrolled) at my hippie college, and changed tracks entirely. Now I listen to people talk (for my job) and tend to eschew photographing people. I'm trying to remedy my fear of that by slowly and surreptitiously snapping people - at a distance, in public, etc.

My primary interests are decay, garbage, colors, shapes, lines, and the hard-to-see. I need to learn a LOT more about my camera and current technology (and using a flash!).
