Digital photography is a fairly new hobby for me, so still a lot to learn, but enjoying it immensely. My Olympus mju 700 goes everywhere with me, but we've recently bought a Canon EOS1000D to play with.

My partner and I spend as much time as we can weekends outdoors. We enjoy walking in the Hampshire and Surrey countryside and visiting new places further afield.

However, in June 2008 I was diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer, and have had treatment (surgery/chemo) which finished in November. Although not cured I'm feeling reasonably well, and have been getting out and about more with my camera.

Disappointingly I had to have further surgery in early March 2009 following a relapse, which is delaying my return to work, but I plan to be back part time soon. In the meantime I'm spending time getting to know my new grandson!
