I'm someone who has been a photographer for a very long time; starting in the film days where I shot and worked in both the B&W and colour darkroom. Much of my photography is travel photography; I try to take at least one or two "trips of a lifetime" every year and have been to some fairly remote and exotic places where I shoot people, landscapes, architecture, etc.. I also do a fair bit of studio photography.

I do have a formal photographic background, having taken photography courses at local community colleges and photography schools. I am the Chairman of the RA Photo Club in Ottawa, Canada as well as being a moderator at the well known photography website CambridgeInColour.com . I am a member of CAPA (Canadian Association for Photographic Art). I am a CAPA Certified Judge (i.e. national level photographic judge). I have received numerous local and national awards for my work.
