I am very much an amateur photographer. I have 3 cameras: a point and shoot Canon Ixus 95 IS, a Canon Powershot S3 IS that is rarely used as it has now been superseded by my new DSLR, a Nikon D5100.

Most of my photos are taken while I am out walking and don't have a tripod with me. I still tend to revert to Auto mode, but am learning to move away from that - slowly.

I live on the island of Westray so many of my views are coastal or rural scenes. I enjoy black and white photography. I very rarely take photos of people.
