Husband, father and grandfather. I taught History and Literature for many years; I retired in 2024. I have always enjoyed mucking about with cameras and have been taking photos for most of my life.
My parents gave me my first camera in the 1960s: it was made of black and silver plastic and it never really worked. My second camera (1975) was a Kodak Pocket Instamatic. I had a Russian Zenit-E camera for a while. In 1982, my Dad gave me a Pentax K1000SE for my 21st birthday: I loved that camera (still have it). I’ve shot digital since 2004; my first DSLR was a Pentax *istDL. I switched to Nikon in 2009; I switched to Canon in 2021. I also have a Fuji X100V, which is a great little camera.
