ENG It all began as a way of showing my pixs to friends and family without collapsing their emails. Since I spend an average of 3-4 months gathering info (mostly in Internet and guides) per trip, I figured I would add that info to the photos to help would-be travellers. Then I decided to do it in English and Spanish (one of my jobs is as a translator). With more than 3,600+ photos this is not an easy, or quick, task but I find it interesting. I also remember my trips better afterwards.

In the set’s descriptions, you’ll find the most pertinent city info (English text in the first sets, Spanish text in the latter, unless otherwise stated), such as airport, weather, language, sight-seeing, food, etc. The tags indicate the city/town and country of each photo. Each photo is labelled with the place’s name, for example “FIRENZE. Florence / Florencia”. The first word, in capitals (FIRENZE), indicates how the name it's said in the native language; than the second (Florence) how it’s said in English, and third how it’s said in Spanish (Florencia).

Though I still love travelling, I won't be adding too many photos nowdays since I won't be making any trips till August. I put most of the ones I had on hold while my cat recuperated from a grave infection that resulted in a collapsed lung and secondary diabetes. Now he's almost back to normal. I have New York planned for August 08; a 4x4 excursion through the Sahara Desert for New Year 09; a circuit tour through Egypt in January 09; Peru by car with another group of friends in May 09; and perhaps Germany or Paris to finish up the year but depending on my budget (yeah, I´ll end up poorer than a church mouse but wow). But I won't be travelling as much as I used to and in the meantime I'll work on adding info to the photos. I appreciate any travel tips or info that anyone might want to add or send me.

ESP Comenzó como una manera de mostrar mis fotos a amigos y familia sin colapsar sus correos electrónicos. Ya que suelo emplear unos 3-4 meses en recopilar info (sobre todo en Internet y guías) por cada viaje, pensé que no sería mala idea poner esa info acompañando a las fotos para ayudar a futuros viajeros. Entonces decidí hacerlo en inglés y español (que para eso uno de mis trabajos es como traductora). Con más de 3.600+ fotos no es tarea fácil ni rápida, pero me resulta interesante. También me ayuda a recordar los viajes mejor.

En las descripciones de los sets, encontrarás la info más pertinente de la ciudad (texto en inglés en los primeros sets, texto en español en los últimos, al menos que esté indicado de otra manera), como aeropuerto, clima, idioma, cosas que ver, comida, etc. Los tags (etiquetas) indican la ciudad/pueblo y el país de cada foto. Aunque me sigue encantando viajar no añadiré ninguna foto por ahora ya que no planeo viajar hasta agosto. He aplazado todos mientras mi gato se recuperaba de una grave infección que le colapsó un pulmón y causó una diabetes secundaria. Ahora está casi recuperado. Tengo planes para ir a Nueva York en agosto de este año; una excursión 4x4 a través del desierto del Sahara para Año Nuevo 09; un circuito por Egipto en enero 09; Perú en coche con un grupo de amigos en Mayo 09; y quizás Alemania o París para rematar el año, pero dependiendo de mi bolsillo (sí, terminaré sin blanca pero lo bien que me lo voy a pasar). Pero no viajaré tanto como antes y mientras tanto iré añadiendo info a las fotos ya colgadas. Apreciaría cualquier consejo e info de viaje que cualquiera quiera añadir o enviarme.
