Hello there. My name is Ashley and this flickr site is where I sometimes hoard my photos.

I currently live in London, by way of Yorkshire, Fife and Cherbourg, at the end of Normandy, which of course happens to be in a certain European country known as France. I taught English out there for a little bit.

I actually got into photography through a digital camera but I quickly got bored with it so I got myself a Zenit-E. I figured out how to use it before I got fed up with paying through the nose for colour developing.

...So I got myself a Polaroid camera. The Zenit's still a lovely camera but the lack of a take-up spool that works (I have to sellotape the leader to it) meant I ended up getting a lovely Pentax ME Super from eBay. I now have more than one lens and even a cheapo fisheye adapter!

At the same time as that, I sort of got bewitched by the wonderful Holga shots I was seeing across the web. So I got myself one of those.

I quickly got fed up of paying through the nose again though, for developing 120 colour and black and white film though, so I got myself a developing tank, changing bag and a big supply of black and white film.

I'm currently developing my own, 35 and 120, and it's good fun.

I have also dabbled with the Polaroid back for the Holga, too.

Later adventures in the land of pictures involve a Polaroid SX-70, a 100, an iZone and a Vision (don't you know it's an SLR?)

As a consequence, I now have no money but I am able to produce moderately amateurish black and white shots, film not digital!

By the way, I've hoarded too much film for these cameras and it's slowly expiring in the back of my fridge. People have been very kind selling to me in the past so I can probably return the favour if you drop me a line.

The only film I can't help you with is Time Zero...

I don't have much internet access so I haven't uploaded much recently. I'm mainly shooting Polaroids right now. I've also got a big batch of undeveloped rolls I need to sort. I will eventually get some of these pictures up.
