I would love to have been a photographer. My grandfather was a photographer all his life. I worked in his studio when I was young; even took photography in school. My life has taken me in other directions, however, but I still yearn to be able to follow my dream. Until then, I deal in cameras. The few photographs I make are pleasing to me, as is the experience of making them. My cameras are like boarders at a hostel. While they are in my possession I keep them warm and safe, we chat a little, then I make them breakfast and watch them as they move on. It's both a sad and a joyful time. Some keep coming back, others even stay a while. And I enjoy seeing the photographs others make with my cameras.
