47 Years in 2025 as an Earth Scientist in the private (37 years) and public sectors (10 years) as a Geologist, Soil Scientist, and Geographic information System Analyst. My early years of detailed mapping, on foot over hill and valley, of 169,000 acres of soils unimpeded by fences and political boundaries with USDA/Purdue was a gift of immeasurable value in appreciating that every thing is interconnected and seeing the natural variability of nature at a detailed, continuous, meaningful scale. These lessons apply to all of life's experiences and have informed my approach to photography.
