I use a Canon 30D and have a 300D also (as a back up which has in reality never been used since I got the 30D!). I have the original kit lenses and also have a 50mm f/1.8, Canon 100mm macro and a Sigma 24-70mmf/2.8 which I love. I also have a 430EX external flash and a set of extension tubes that I use very rarely but would like to play with more.
In my hand/shoulder bag I also carry a little Sony Cybershot. I love carrying that to capture little things that I might miss when carrying a DSLR is not convenient.
I take a wide variety of shots - I love taking photos of my daughter (but most of these will remain private) and people in general but I also love beautiful landscapes and scenery. I would also like to do more macro photography - as this fascinates me.
I hanker after a wide angle (a friend loans me her 17-40mm Canon L from time to time and I love this - might be my next purchase) and one day I would like a super wide angle like a 10mm. Like most fanatics I want it all - but will have to save and wait.
All photos in my stream are copyright to me and I would appreciate if they were not used or copied in any way without my permission. If you want to use one of my images please send me a flickr mail.
If you favorite one of my pics but don't leave a comment and especially if your profile is blank and you have no real avatar pic (except the grey smiley face) and no photostream I can see then chances are I will block you. I don't really like doing this BUT I have noticed this happening to a few of my pics - especially where they contain children and I am suspicious of peoples motives. It's also just polite to leave a comment if you really like a pic so much.
Flickr is a great place to share and learn but not to let people with unclear or even bad motives take advantage.

Alison is one my favourite Flickr contacts! :-) Her ability to capture a snap-shot in time with her macro work is indeed a true wonder to view. She simply knows and understands what makes a great shot. Her interpretation of the 'small world' makes me smile every day! Ever since the 6th August (when Alison purchased her Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens), Flickr has been blessed with a fantastic photographer! The macro land is indeed one of the most challenging types of photography you can attempt, yet Alison takes it in her stride and works on creating an interesting and well composed photo every time. What impresses me *most* about Alison is that she takes the time and effort to help and encourage others with her many many many positive comments on Flickr. If you look at Alison's macro work from the August 6th to today you'll see an intelligent smart thinking photographer that has grown in her abilities and is learning every day! Don't forget to check out forget Alison's earlier work either, some impressive shots can be found ! I'm proud to have Alison as one of my contacts and you will be as well! Check out her photo stream you won't be disappointed! Cheers. Bennie
