Hi there,

You'll find in my photostream a number of photographs I've shot in recent years. I’m not a professional photographer, nor do I have pretensions of any sort. It's just stuff I like to do in my spare time.

How did I get into photography?

Well, I did not get a camera from my father on my 6th birthday, and did not take pictures ever since, no. When I was around 18 and started travelling the world, I bought myself a Canon EOS 1000 in order to be able to bring back some souvenirs. Later, I switched to a Nikon FE2. A great camera: sturdy design, manual or aperture-priority exposure, manual focus and a range of great lenses. In recent years, I got interested in more basic cameras, such as toy- and pinhole cameras. The images they produce have got a whole different feel to it, which is something I find really interesting.

Subject-wise I like to try out different things, urban sceneries, landscapes, street life. I usually try to find a subject and then a camera that fits the purpose. Or the other way round, find a subject that could be interesting when shot with a particular camera.
