Hi! I'm Amy. Nice to meet you. I live in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina with my husband and toddler. I'm a nurse by profession, not working right now but will probably go back soon. I love hiking, reading, movies, and quilting! I've been sewing for 6 or 7 years now I think, mostly quilting/patchwork. My inspiration to get into quilting seriously was probably the Denyse Schmidt book and discovering the gorgeous fabrics available beyond Joann's.

I would describe myself as a modern quilter in terms of fabrics and colors. I do use some traditional designs. I'm still at the stage where I love everything, applique, patchwork, paper piecing, and will try anything once! I'm in the Asheville Modern Quilting Guild, and love the inspiration and socializing.

Anyway, that's a bit about where I'm coming from. I'm still getting used to flickr and finding time to take and upload good pictures of my work is a challenge. Most of my pictures are from my phone, and I apologize for that. Many times it's that or no pictures at all. Working on it.
