Not so new to Flickr now, but still learning all about how it all works !

Started in digital with a 400D, then 40D, then updated a few years ago to a 7D.

A lot of my existing pics are slides which date back to the early 1970's, and are being scanned in slowly. I started in about 2006, and am now up to about 24,500, still quite a few to go ! My first scanner was an Epson 4990, until it gave in, and was replaced about 2 years ago with an Epson V700. Both are great pieces of kit, and produce good scanned images.

My principle is to scan everything in, just to see what is there, then to go back and re-scan with more care anything particularly good for a better quality result. I just need to get a better grip of the software !

Some images will be put here if they are good enough, and when I get the time.

My slides were taken with a variety of cameras, Olympus OM1 being my favourite and the best. Others were a Canon AE1, Topcon Uni, Olympus Pen and Trip, and various other small 35mm handlhelds.

I have recently inherited my Father's slides, about 20,000 of them, some of which date back to the late 1950's, but having recently moved from West Sussex to the New Forest, it will be a bit of time before I get organised enough to start on them.

Update (Dec 2014) : Now retired, I may have some more time on my hands - Ha Ha !
